Is it really free?

Yes. We do the first 3 hours of work at no charge. We don't ask for payment details, and you're under no obligation to hire us afterwards.

Who qualifies?

New clients: businesses that haven't hired Royalty Dev before. This is a one-time offer: one per client, which includes related businesses and stores.

What does 'guaranteed' mean here?

We guarantee the time. Once you are confirmed as eligible and your task is a reasonable fit for 3 hours, those hours are yours, free. We agree the scope with you before any work starts so the time goes where it counts most. Every task is different, so what we commit to is senior engineering time and a clear plan, not a fixed outcome.

What if my task is bigger than 3 hours?

We tell you up front. You can ask us to break it into a first step that fits in 3 hours, or we can quote the rest. You are never charged for anything you have not approved in writing.

Which platforms and tasks are covered?

Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, Magento 1, BigCommerce and custom development. Typical tasks are bug fixes, speed fixes, small features, code or extension reviews, tracking fixes and migration planning. Not sure it fits? Ask us.

How soon do you start?

We do our best to reply quickly and get started as soon as we can. Once your task is confirmed, the free hours are used within one week.

Is there a catch?

The honest answer: we hope you like the work and hire us for more. The only conditions are the ones in the terms below, such as new clients only and a task that fits in 3 hours.

Offer terms

Offer: up to 3 hours of development, consultation or technical work at no charge, for new clients only. This is a one-time offer: one per client, which includes the individual, the company and any related businesses or stores. Not available to anyone who has previously hired Royalty Dev.
Guaranteed: once we confirm that you are eligible and that your request is a reasonable fit for 3 hours, we guarantee those 3 hours of work at no charge. The guarantee covers our time and effort, not a specific result or the completion of a task within 3 hours. We agree the scope with you before work begins.
Scope: tasks must be reasonably completable in 3 hours. If a task is larger, we will tell you before starting and offer to break it into a first step or quote the remainder. Anything beyond 3 hours is done only under a separate written agreement at our standard hourly rates.
Timing: we do our best to respond quickly, but may take up to 30 days to process a request. Once we confirm your task, the free hours must be used within one week. Scheduling depends on our availability.
Access: we will need access to your store, code or staging environment. Please keep a backup and test any change before it goes live. We take reasonable care but cannot guarantee a particular business result.
Exclusions: third-party costs (apps, hosting, themes, licenses), ongoing support or maintenance, emergency or after-hours support, and any work that would violate a platform's terms or applicable law.
General: not transferable, no cash value and cannot be combined with other offers. To keep the quality of our work high, we may limit the number of new offers we accept in a given period, and we may change or end this offer at any time. Changes do not affect tasks we have already confirmed.
