When the theme store stops being enough
Most of our Shopify work starts with one of these.
Your theme fights your design
Every change means overriding the template, and each override makes the next change harder.
Apps stacked on apps
A dozen apps patch gaps that one custom feature would close, and each one adds scripts and another subscription.
A slow storefront
Heavy themes and app scripts drag down Core Web Vitals, which hurts both search rankings and conversion.
Checkout can't do what ops needs
Shipping rules, discounts or validation that standard checkout can't express, so staff fix orders by hand.
Manual work behind the scenes
Tagging, approvals and order routing handled by people because nothing is automated.
Wholesale on a retail setup
Price lists in spreadsheets and quotes in email, because the store was built for consumers only.
Shopify development, built to your brand
Custom Liquid themes
Bespoke themes built to your design, not a modified template fighting against itself. Built so your team can keep editing them without calling a developer.
Custom apps and Functions
Apps and checkout Functions for workflows Shopify doesn't support natively, public or private.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Theme performance audits and fixes. We cut heavy scripts, images and render-blocking code.
Headless with Hydrogen
When a fully custom storefront is the right call we build it on Hydrogen. When it isn't, we say so.
Fixes on existing stores
Most of our Shopify work is bug fixes, features and speed on stores that are already live.
Ongoing development
Retainer support for feature requests, seasonal campaigns and bug fixes.
Shopify Plus development for stores at scale
Plus gives you Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Flow, and multi-store and multi-currency setups. The platform is capable. The work is wiring it to the way your business actually runs.
Our team's roots go back to one of the original Shopify Plus partner agencies. Royalty Dev is an independent agency, not affiliated with Shopify.
What we build on Plus
- Checkout customization with UI extensions and Shopify Functions
- Shopify Flow workflows and custom automation
- Multi-store, multi-currency and multi-market setups
- ERP, PIM and OMS integrations sized for Plus volume
- Migration to Plus from another platform

Shopify B2B for wholesale buyers
Built on Shopify's native B2B capabilities, which are a Plus feature. Not on Plus? We can advise on B2B apps that fit your situation.
Company account structures
Multi-location company profiles with role-based buyer permissions.
Custom price lists and quantity rules
Company and catalog specific pricing, volume pricing and quantity rules.
Payment terms and net terms
Net terms and B2B payment and checkout configuration.
B2B and DTC on one platform
Serve wholesale and direct-to-consumer from a single Shopify Plus instance where it fits your model.
Backorders and pre-orders
Let approved buyers order out-of-stock items against a clear backorder date, not a hard stockout.
CSV and quick-order upload
Bulk add-to-cart from a CSV or SKU and quantity list, for buyers who reorder the same lines.
EDI order channel
An EDI based channel so large accounts can order the way their own systems already work.
Grid ordering on product pages
Order several sizes, colors or variants in one grid instead of one add-to-cart at a time.
Sales rep logic
Your reps can log in as a customer, build a cart and place the order on their behalf.
B2B decisions to make before anyone writes code
These shape a B2B project more than any feature does. We help you settle them early, using your real accounts.
Who can buy
- What applicants must submit
- What makes a business eligible for B2B pricing
- Who reviews and approves or denies
- Whether list prices stay hidden until approval
What they pay
- One pricing tier or several segments
- Net 30 or 60 terms and credit limits
- ACH or third-party financing options
- ERP-managed pricing kept in sync
How they order
- Order minimums by quantity or value
- Grid ordering or CSV upload
- Own carrier account or local pickup
- Tax exemption certificates and expiry rules
A Shopify redesign that is more than a new coat of paint
For stores that have outgrown their theme: audited first, rebuilt in Liquid, and safe for the rankings you've already earned.
A rebuild, not a retheme
A custom Liquid build around your brand and catalog, not a paid theme with your logo dropped in.
Full site audit first
We study structure, content and analytics before touching a page, so we fix what is costing you sales.
Checkout and conversion audit
We review cart and checkout for the drop-off points a redesign should actually fix.
SEO safe
A complete redirect map from every old URL to its new one, so rankings survive the move.
Modern UX
Navigation, product pages and checkout restructured around how your customers shop.
Built for Core Web Vitals
Performance budgets from day one, so the new site is faster than the one it replaces.
Installed apps audited
We review every app, keep what earns its place and re-integrate it. Nothing is silently dropped.
Plus scope included
On Plus, Checkout Extensibility and Flow customizations come into scope. Our team handles that directly.
Phased rollout option
Launch section by section, homepage and category pages first, if a full cutover is too risky.

Tell us where the store is today and what it needs to do next. You will get a straight answer from an engineer, not a sales script.
Talk to usFrequently asked questions
Do you build fully custom Shopify themes?
Yes. We build from scratch or heavily customize a base theme, depending on your timeline and budget. We build them so your team can keep editing content without a developer.
Can you develop custom Shopify apps?
Yes, both public facing apps and custom apps for internal workflows or storefront features. If an existing app already does the job, we will tell you rather than build something new.
Do you work with Shopify Functions and Hydrogen?
Yes. We use Shopify Functions for checkout customization and Hydrogen for headless builds, when a fully custom storefront is the right call. Many stores don't need headless, and we say so.
We already have a Shopify store and just need fixes. Is that OK?
That is most of our Shopify work: bug fixes, new features and performance improvements on stores that are already live.
Do you have real Shopify Plus experience, not just standard Shopify?
Yes. Checkout Extensibility, Flow and multi-store architecture are a core part of our Shopify practice, and our team's roots go back to one of the original Shopify Plus partner agencies. We are independent and not affiliated with Shopify.
Can you customize the Shopify Plus checkout?
Yes, using Checkout Extensibility: UI extensions and Shopify Functions. It replaced checkout.liquid customization, so older checkout code needs to be rebuilt this way.
Is Shopify B2B available on standard Shopify, or only Plus?
Shopify's native B2B functionality is a Plus feature. If you're not on Plus, we can advise on B2B focused apps and when a move to Plus would pay off.
Can we run wholesale and consumer sales from the same store?
Yes. A single Shopify Plus instance can serve both channels where it fits your model, with separate pricing, catalogs and checkout rules for each.
Do you connect B2B pricing to our ERP?
Yes. We build integrations that keep ERP-managed pricing and inventory in sync with your Shopify B2B storefront, so buyers always see the numbers your team does.
What do we need to decide about B2B before launch?
Who is eligible and what applicants submit, who approves them, which products and prices approved accounts see, order minimums, payment terms and credit limits, shipping options and tax exemption handling. We work through each with you before build starts.
Do B2B buyers need a different ordering experience?
Often yes. Buyers ordering many sizes or SKUs at once usually need grid ordering or CSV and quick-order upload, not one-at-a-time add-to-cart. We scope this alongside the core B2B build.
Can you help us move to Shopify Plus from another platform?
Yes, it is a common engagement. Our team has completed 40+ platform migrations with a 100% success rate. See our Platform Migration page for the general approach.
Can you redesign our store without losing reviews and installed apps?
Yes. We audit every installed app first and re-integrate what still earns its place. Your catalog, content and reviews are mapped into the new templates, not retyped.
Will a redesign hurt our SEO rankings?
Not if it is done right. We build a complete redirect map from every existing URL to its new equivalent before launch, which is the single biggest factor in protecting rankings.
Do we need to change platforms to redesign?
Usually not. Most redesigns stay on your current platform. A full migration is a separate and bigger decision, and we'll tell you if it is really what you need.
How much does Shopify development cost?
We work hourly, from $90/hr depending on the plan you choose. We scope the total after we understand your store, so you are quoted for your project and not an average one.
