ADA web accessibility audits, with the fixes built into your code

We test your site against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA with automated tools, manual checks and assistive technology, then our developers fix what we find. We do not give legal advice.

What it looks like for users

Where inaccessible sites actually fail people

Accessibility problems are rarely abstract. They are moments where a real person cannot finish a task.

A keyboard user gets stuck

A menu, popup or filter cannot be reached or closed without a mouse, so the page is a dead end.

A screen reader says nothing useful

Unlabeled buttons, images without descriptions and unclear form fields leave people guessing.

Text is hard to read

Low-contrast text, tiny type and color-only cues exclude people with low vision or color blindness.

Checkout cannot be completed

Errors that are not announced, or fields without labels, stop a purchase at the last step.

The hard truth

A passing scan does not mean your site is accessible

Automated tools are useful for finding a certain class of problems quickly. They cannot judge whether a description makes sense, whether focus moves logically, or whether a screen reader user can actually buy something.

Real accessibility work combines automated scans, manual review and testing with assistive technology.

  1. 1

Scans catch only part of the issues

Many WCAG criteria need human judgment, such as meaningful link text, logical order and clear error messages.

  2. 2

Overlay widgets do not fix the code

A script layered on top does not repair the underlying markup. The reliable fix is correcting the source.

  3. 3

    Sites change, accessibility regresses

A new banner, popup or theme update can break what was working. Accessibility needs re-checking.

  4. 4

    Forms and checkout matter most

These are where tasks end. We test them thoroughly, with keyboard and screen readers.

We are developers and testers, not lawyers. For questions about legal obligations, talk to your own counsel.

We work to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 level AA, the benchmark most organizations use. We implement the fixes ourselves because we are also a development team.

What we test

The four areas every audit covers

Keyboard and focus

  • Every control reachable with Tab
  • Visible focus indicator
  • No keyboard traps in menus and popups
  • Skip links and logical order

Screen readers

  • Meaningful page structure and headings
  • Labels on buttons and form fields
  • Useful image descriptions
  • Errors and updates announced

Visual design

  • Text and control contrast
  • Resizable text and reflow
  • Color is never the only cue
  • Motion and autoplay controllable

Content and forms

  • Clear link and button text
  • Helpful form instructions and errors
  • Accessible tables and media
  • Readable documents and PDFs

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ADA and WCAG?

WCAG is a technical standard published by the W3C. The ADA is a U.S. law that does not itself list technical rules for websites. WCAG is the benchmark widely used in practice, so we work to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 level AA.

What does an accessibility audit involve?

Automated scans, manual review against WCAG criteria, and testing with a keyboard and screen readers on key templates and flows such as navigation, product pages, forms and checkout. You get a prioritized report of what failed and why.

Do you only audit, or also fix issues?

We fix them. Because we are a development team, we make the changes in your code, then re-test to confirm the fixes work.

Can you guarantee that we will be compliant or protected from lawsuits?

No. Nobody honestly can. We do not give legal advice or guarantee legal outcomes. We do the real accessibility work against WCAG, and we suggest you work with your own legal counsel on the legal side.

Which platforms do you work on?

Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WordPress and custom-built sites. The principles apply everywhere, though the fixes differ by theme and platform.

How do we keep the site accessible after the fixes?

Accessibility needs maintenance because new content and features can introduce problems. We offer periodic re-audits and can build checks into your development process.
