Where stores quietly lose buyers

Conversion rate optimization starts with finding the leaks

Checkout friction ends more carts than most teams expect

Forced account creation, surprise shipping costs, long forms and missing payment options all push ready buyers away at the last step.

Product pages that skip the questions

Size, delivery, returns and compatibility answers missing from the page send shoppers elsewhere to find them.

Mobile that was only checked once

Small tap targets, popups covering content and sticky bars that block the buy button.

Slow pages

Heavy images and third-party scripts delay the moment a shopper can act.

Search and filters that fail

Zero-result searches and confusing filters strand people who know what they want.

Bugs on certain browsers or devices

A broken button on one phone model never shows up in aggregate averages.

The hard truth

Most stores cannot A/B test their way out of this

A test needs enough visitors and orders to tell a real change from random noise. Smaller stores can run a test for months and learn nothing.

That does not mean optimization is off the table. It means the method has to fit your traffic.

  1. 1

    Fix the obvious first

Broken forms, confusing errors and slow templates do not need a test. They need a developer.

  2. 2

    Use evidence you already have

Session recordings, funnel drop-offs, support questions and search terms show where people struggle.

  3. 3

    Test when traffic allows

With enough volume we run structured tests. With less, we ship careful changes one at a time and measure.

  4. 4

    Measure orders, not clicks

A button that gets more clicks but fewer completed orders is not a win.

How it runs

Analyze, prioritize, build, measure

  1. 1

    Analyze

Funnel data, heatmaps and session recordings reviewed to see where and why visitors drop off.

  2. 2

    Prioritize

Findings ranked by likely impact and effort, so the first changes are the ones worth making.

  3. 3

    Implement and test

Changes built directly in your storefront and, where traffic supports it, A/B tested before a full rollout.

  4. 4

    Measure

Results checked against completed orders and revenue, and next steps based on what the data shows.

Frequently asked questions

Do you just recommend changes, or build them too?

We build them. We are also a development team, so CRO changes go straight into your storefront instead of sitting in a slide deck.

Do you run formal A/B tests?

Where traffic supports it, yes. For lower-traffic stores we lean on qualitative evidence and careful one-at-a-time changes, because a test that cannot reach a clear result is just noise.

What tools do you use for heatmaps and recordings?

Whatever you already have, such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity, or we set up a tool if you do not have one yet.

How long until we see results?

It varies. Fixing a broken checkout step can matter quickly, while tested changes take longer to reach confidence. We set expectations per project and do not promise a percentage lift.

Can you change our checkout?

That depends on your platform. Some let us rebuild large parts of the flow, others offer a defined set of options. We review what is possible on your platform before we plan anything.
