Why your numbers disagree

Your reports disagree because each system measures something different

Revenue in your store, in your accounting system and in your ad platform will rarely match. Nothing is broken. Each one is counting by its own rules.

A useful dashboard does not hide the differences. It defines each number once, in your terms, and shows where it came from.

  1. 1

    Different moments in time

The store counts an order at checkout. Your ERP counts when it ships or is invoiced. Both are right, and both will differ on any given day.

  2. 2

    Different treatment of money

Refunds, returns, discounts, tax, shipping and currency are handled differently in every tool, so totals drift apart.

  3. 3

    Different credit for sales

Each ad platform claims conversions using its own attribution window. Add them up and you sell more than you did.

  4. 4

    Manual exports hide the gaps

Spreadsheets pulled by hand are out of date the moment they are saved, and every analyst cleans them differently.

How the data moves

From scattered systems to one trusted view

Store

Orders, customers, products

ERP and finance

Invoices, inventory, costs

Marketing

Ads, email, analytics

Clean and join

One set of definitions

Dashboard

Always current

Connections pull data on a schedule, a cleaning step reconciles IDs, currencies and timestamps, and the dashboard reads from the cleaned result.

What dashboards answer

Reports built around real decisions

Revenue and margin by channel

Which channels and products make money after costs, shipping and returns, not only before.

Inventory and fulfillment

Stock, sell-through, backorders and shipping delays across the store and your warehouse systems.

Marketing against real orders

Ad spend and campaign results compared with orders that actually shipped and were paid.

B2B account reporting

Reorder patterns, account value and sales rep performance for wholesale and trade customers.

Customer behavior

Repeat purchase, cohorts and customer value, calculated on your own definitions.

Scheduled summaries

Reports sent to the people who need them, so no one has to remember to pull a number.

How we build it

Start with the question, not the chart

  1. 1

    Define the questions

We start with the decisions the dashboard must support and write each metric down in plain terms.

  2. 2

    Connect the sources

Store, ERP and marketing platforms connected directly through their APIs or exports, with no manual pulls.

  3. 3

    Clean and model

Messy, inconsistent data reconciled into one model, with checks against totals you already trust.

  4. 4

    Build and iterate

A dashboard built around the questions, then refined as the business and the data change.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use an existing BI tool or build fully custom?

Either. Sometimes a custom dashboard is right. Often it is configuring a tool such as Looker Studio or Metabase properly around well-modeled data. We recommend whichever costs you less over time.

Can you combine store, ERP and marketing data in one dashboard?

Yes. Joining those sources into one view is the most common reason people hire us for this. The hard part is agreeing on definitions, and we help with that.

Does our data have to be clean first?

No. Untangling inconsistent IDs, duplicate records and mismatched fields is part of the work, and we check results against totals your finance team already trusts.

Why will the dashboard numbers still differ from my ad platform?

Because platforms count conversions with their own attribution rules. A good dashboard shows both, labeled clearly, so you can see why they differ.

Is this a one-time build or ongoing?

Both are common. Some businesses want a one-time build, others want ongoing support as new questions and data sources come up.

Who can see which data?

We design access by role, so finance, sales, operations and marketing each see what they need. Sensitive data stays restricted.
