ERP integrations that keep your storefront and back office in sync

We connect Shopify, BigCommerce and Magento to NetSuite, Dynamics 365 F&O, Business Central, Acumatica, SAP and other ERPs, so inventory, pricing and orders agree on both sides.

What an ERP integration does

Your ERP knows the truth. Your storefront needs to hear it

The ERP holds your stock, your price lists, your customers and your financial records. The storefront takes the orders. An integration makes sure each side gets what it needs from the other, without anyone typing it twice.

The hard part is not moving data. It is deciding which system is right when they disagree.

A good ERP integration gives you

  • Orders in the ERP the moment they are placed
  • Inventory on the site that matches the ERP
  • Prices and customer terms with one owner
  • Order status and invoices flowing back to customers
  • Alerts when a record fails to sync
The life of an order

What moves between storefront and ERP, and which way

Orders travel one direction, stock and prices travel the other. Mixing those up is where most trouble starts.

Storefront

Order placed and paid

Integration layer

Validate, queue, de-duplicate

ERP

Sales order, stock, finance

Status and stock back

Invoice, shipment, on-hand

Storefront updated

Customer sees the truth

Orders and customers flow into the ERP. Inventory, prices and order status flow back out to the storefront.

Where ERP integrations go wrong

Six problems we design for before writing code

Duplicate orders

A timeout and a retry can write the same order twice. We check for an existing order first and use a unique reference on every record.

Inventory drift

Stock changes in the warehouse, in the ERP and on the site. We decide who owns the number and reconcile on a schedule.

Tax and total mismatches

If the store and ERP calculate tax or discounts differently, the order total will not match. We settle which system calculates what.

Customer-specific pricing

B2B price lists, tiers and contract terms live in the ERP. We make sure the storefront shows what that customer should pay.

API limits and slow ERPs

ERP APIs throttle requests and can be slow. We queue work, batch where it makes sense and back off instead of failing.

Failures nobody sees

A failed order should raise an alert with the reason and a way to replay it, not vanish into a log file.

How we build it

Four steps, with the hard decisions up front

  1. 1

    System mapping

We map every data flow between your ERP and storefront, and agree on which system owns each field before anything is built.

  2. 2

    Integration build

Custom or middleware-based, chosen for reliability and for how easy it is to maintain after we are done.

  3. 3

    Testing on edge cases

Partial refunds, backorders, discounts, cancelled orders, retries and price changes mid-order. Not just the happy path.

  4. 4

    Go-live and monitoring

A careful cutover, then close monitoring so sync issues surface early instead of weeks later.

How we think about it

Three rules for any ERP connection

01

One owner per field

Every piece of data has exactly one system that is allowed to change it. Two owners means two truths.

02

Safe to repeat

Running a sync twice must give the same result as running it once. That is what stops duplicates.

03

Loud on failure

If something does not sync, a person finds out quickly and has what they need to fix it.

Frequently asked questions

Which ERPs do you integrate with?

NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), Dynamics 365 Business Central, Acumatica and SAP Business One are the most common, with others on request. Tell us your ERP and storefront and we will confirm the approach.

What is the difference between Dynamics 365 F&O and Business Central for an integration?

Finance and Operations is built for larger, more complex operations. Business Central suits growing businesses that want a lighter Microsoft ERP. We integrate with either, and the design differs mainly in the data volume and processes involved.

Can inventory sync in real time?

Real-time or near-real-time sync is usually achievable, but it depends on what your ERP's API supports and how fast it responds. We will tell you honestly what is possible and where a short delay is the safer choice.

Which system should own pricing?

Usually the ERP, especially with B2B price lists and contract terms, with the storefront reading from it. If marketing sets promotional prices on the storefront, we define clearly how those layer on top.

Will duplicate orders ever happen?

A well-built integration prevents them by checking for an existing order and using a unique reference on every record, so a retry cannot create a second one. We test this deliberately before go-live.

Do you use middleware or build direct?

It depends on your systems and volume. A connector can fit standard flows. Custom integration is often more reliable for unusual pricing or high order volume. We recommend whichever is more reliable and cheaper to run for you.
